Interesting. No doubt they'll all be once-weekly, as from BHX, GLA and NCL, which is, of course, extremely convenient. Still, interesting, but not surprising.

The fleet is to be based around the A320 - the first of "their own" aircraft delivered to GLA today with Greek rego.

Can't see a once weekly flight working from SOU. When Flybe first annonced a base at SOU they promised BCN and NCE as destinations. If they ever announced these routes they'd hound Greece Airways from the Hampshire Riviera!

Quoting Flycro (Reply 6):

I wouldnt be so sure. The hotel group Air Scotland are now part of have extensive Spanish hotel links and will offer neat packages, something FlyBe do not have to offer.

Not really, they're just becoming a Spanish based company. So affectively, they're expanding TO England, Wales and Northern Ireland, with an aircraft based at Girona.

The other aircraft will be based at Glasgow, but will only operate flights to Spanish airports and Athens (Spanish owners/Greek Airline).
