I read an article published today in El Comercio, newspaper from Ecuador, about Aerogal and Icaro starting regular service to several cities in Colombia.
New services include (starting july):
- Icaro will fly 4 weekly flights (737-200) in the route Quito - Cali - Quito.
- Aerogal will fly twice a week (727-200) between Quito and Medellin, and twice a day to Bogota
The article mentioned that TAME has no plans to expand its service to other cities in Colombia, and it will keep its current service (3x) in the route Quito - Tulcan - Cali which has reached 75% loads this year.
Good news, specially for Cali and Medellin, cities that have been underserved in terms of international routes, but with these new services and the ones stablished in the last year (AV, Aerorepublica, Continental, Aeropostal) are leaving behind this condition.

Very exciting days for aviation in Ecuador. Any idea where Aerogal's 767'S or 757'S will becoming from? Both planes will look sharp in Aerogal's colors. Good luck to Ecuador in the world cup!

I just flew TAME 4 times last week and everything was great, however there were delays of about an hour on all of my legs. Any idea when AeroGal will get 767?
Aerogal is the one which supposed to have started this month, June 8th to MDE. And from what i was told by the 737 pilot friend of mine, its not 727 its 732. For MDE. Sources: David Leon and the Airlines President.

Sorry for the confussion!!! By sources, I meant, where are these frames coming from and what will be the exact number, and when will they enter service...? Aerogal's B757 and B763 and VIPSA's B757 and B767s too!!!
