I've just landed in Cape Town and saw an Air New Zealand 747-400 parked opposite domestic arrivals. Any one knows what it is doing in CPT?

(If already posted my apologies, search does not seem to be working!)

And why is there a United 747 sitting in JNB? I saw one there 5 days ago.

NZ 744 is being chartered at the moment.
It operated AKL-CHC (reposition), then with pax CHC-PER-CPT
crew change happened in PER.
Those crew operating the flight were quite happy to do something different!   don't worry, its not the start of NZ doing Africa ops... just a charter...  Wink

I´m guessing it´s the next 747-400 for Corsair.

thanks guys, I was wondering if perhaps we would see Air NZ entering the African market via PER. Well on my way home now and that graceful bird is still here!
