Hi to all-

Some are you were not know about "Tom Green Show". I watched on MTV TV show last Sunday night. Tom was talking with someone were standing outside at the Roswell UFO museum. Tom was behind airport the FedEx Airbus 300 was taxing to the (take off or ramp??) very short moments. I thought that Roswell is a very small town in New Mexico. What's up with Fed Ex can delivery goods there? What is the main industry in Roswell? Is anyone who lives there or been through before? Please talk about it. Also, I saw many old L1011's and DC10's were grounded as strapped parts.

Thanks,

Rosewell is just a quick stop for Fed-Ex. The plane you saw came in from ABQ and did a quick pick-up before departing to the Memphis hub.

Roswell is a town of about 40,000 people. Primary industries are agriculture, manufacturing, and, of course, tourism (The UFO museum's pretty good, plus it's free!)

ROW is served by YV (Mesa) with 5x daily Beech 1900Ds to ABQ, as well as 2x daily Inter-Galatic Express Ziborg 330-200s to Alpha Centauri

RIAC (Roswell Industrial Air Center, ROW's official name) is a scrapyard of sorts--don't know what they do with them, though.

Hope this helps!!--I lived in Carlsbad, NM, about 90 miles south of Roswell until 1998

Must have been something else. Another airport they had superimposed behind him or something like that. FedEx does not service ROW with any Trunk activity whatsoever.
Are you sure it wasn't a DC10 (MD10)? FedEx is doing a lot of work at IPA near PHX and it could have been a 91 test flight,,,although I doubt that too. Never heard of a test flight to ROW.
In any event, even if it were an A300, it wasn't there to pick up freight.

Yes, It's sure an Airbus 300 there of the Fed Ex moving taxiing while Tom was standing on the TV. I know what is the type of aircraft very well. I'm expert aviation for 25 years!

Thanks for responding the post. Very interesting...
