Why No 757's At Sydney?

Is it just me who has noticed this? im no fan of this aircraft( sorry folks) , but it just seems odd .... with some many airlines comes some great aircraft ... all but the 757?
why??

One would first have to look at the Asian carriers that fly the 757.

The range on the 752 is 3,500 nm and on the 753 it's 3,395 nm.

Flying from like BKK, HKG, NRT, PEK or CAN-SYD is going to well out of the 757's range. Therefore that is why I think you do not see 757's in SYD.

Australian carriers have never operated 757's besides a short period during a protracted pilots dispute when the domestic aviation scene in this country basically shut down. In that period we had 757's from Monarch and Air2000.

Royal Brunei have flown 757's to Perth and Darwin.

Freedom and Kiwi International (NZ) operated the 757 across the Tasman for a while.

Royal Tongan operated a Royal Brunei 757 in their last incarnation.

Canada 3000 flew a 757 here before it graduated to the 332.

There have been various government and charter flights through the country as well, but there has never been a 757 based in Australia, much to the detriment of the Australian civil aviation scene !!!!

As mentioned above me, Royal Tongan flew their 752's into SYD...
