Hey!

Does anybody here know realistic V-speeds of BIG jets? I'm particularly interested in the stall speed of a 777-300 and a 737-400 both in landing configuration.

Thank you and Happy Landings!

I can help with B747-400:
(All approximate for mid weights)
V1 - 118 upwards
VR - 120s
V2 - 140s
Stall speeds vary from 190 clean to 110 or so in landing configuration.
Obviously the speeds vary for runway and conditions, I hope these help.

Thanks AJ!

I'm sort of surprised that these vary so much from those in MS FS 2000 Pro! 777-300 there: V1 - 141 KIAS, Vr - 153 KIAS, V2 - 160 KIAS. Or is the B744 just so different from the B773? Might the greater gross weight be the reason?

Is the Final Approach Speed for the B744 about 140 KIAS?

Gross weight makes a massive difference. A max weight departure is up in those figures.
Vref of 140-150 sounds reasonable, common practise is to fly Vref+5 for gusts etc.
Have fun!
