Aeropostal MD-87?

I have heard that Aeropostal is taking several MD-80's this year, and at least one could be an MD-87? Is that true? Could it be an ex-Iberia aircraft? Thanks.

That would be nice if true. They are already very familiar with the MD80 so adding the slightly newer MD87 should be no problem. It is a very good interim solution before using more modern aircraft. I have heard Aeropostal is also considering the A320 as replacement of its MD80 fleet. I don't know if this is true but it would be nice. Aeropostal can use more modern aircraft, just like most other Venezuelan airlines in my opinion. Time will tell...
