The Engine Alliance GP7200-powered Airbus A380 flight test aircraft (manufacturers serial number 009) pictured below at the Airbus plant in Toulouse last week - is expected to take to the air next month.
The aircraft (F-WWSF), which was rolled out of the production plant earlier this month, is being prepared for handover to Airbuss flight-test department. The GP7200-powered aircraft was due to begin flight-testing by May, but Airbus says it now expects the aircraft to fly in July.

Quoting A342 (Reply 1): ncredible, no replies yet ! But not anymore.
Hi A342, Well it lacks replies as it's something rather positive in regards to the A380 project and both Leelaw, Keesje and myself started threads at precisely the same time. (although I was first) maybe the other threads have been deleted.
Quoting A342 (Reply 1): When could it be certificated ?
First we have RR A380 to be certified first, by the end of 2006. The EA A380 should be certified by mid 2007.
