I believe that for a few weeks now, EY has been in posession of (at least) one A345 at AUH.

Has it started flying? where to? I believe BEY and JED are two of the initial routes it will be serving .. before deploying on ultra-long-haul eventually.

any pics of its interior? .. i'm actually surprised there is absolutely no mention of it on their website. No ads, no pictures, nothing ..

If anyone knows anything (or has pics even) it would be greatly appreciated.

To me, this aircraft is the most beautiful creation ever made! even with its its operational flaws  Smile

Hi Ronerone,

Yes indeed! A6-EHA arrived around a week ago.

It was parked at GAMCO once or twice, and was off to the Far East (I know Bangkok and I believe Seoul). It returned the other day from Seychelles, and then did a day's Abu Dhabi - Al Ain training sectors.

I think it has done Abu Dhabi - Bahrain twice since, and then today flew non-scheduled to LHR on a charter...

I think the second, A6-EHB arrives tonight...

JFK is focused and according to their website KIX and PVG will be served soon, but indeed these two destinations are not "ULR"  Smile

Ronerone, I totally agree with you! Etihad has one of the most impressing and beautiful colorshemes as for me. Their B777-300ER looks very impressive as well and I was very lucky when EY sent them to FRA, but I guess the A340-500... oh gee... I don't want to think about it! Absolutely gorgeous!  Big grin

Cheers

Look out for it in FRA soon - I believe it will be doing a few flights, like the B77W did, but not for long.

The first scheduled flights will be LHR, from 01JUL onwards, and CDG soon after that.

I asked the EY station in FRA for it, but they didn't confirm it yet! They told me till the end of the summer (that means around aug./sep.) their A340-300 will been send to FRA except tuesday which will been flown by an A330.

If the new A340-500 will arrive in FRA I am the first who take shots of it and the interiour Big grin

Cheers

In that purpose, the 77W would have been OK as well !!

Has EY the rights to fly to the USA ? Are they also targeting California and Texas ? Could we see them in South America before EK ?

Last question: Will the interior be the same on the A345 and 77W ?

I hope EY eventually serve LAX - the A345 certainly has the range to do it, and I do like LAX, so hopefully...

The A345 interior will have the same Pearl (J) and Coral (Y) Zones as the B77W and new A332s, but will also bave the new Diamond Zone (F) product, which will be launched in the next few days.

Look out for the A345 in CAI and MCT for the next four days if you are there  Wink

I am flying Etihad tonight LHR-AUH - pity this will not be the A345!

I thought A6-EHB wasn't coming until mid-July. I think it could be A6-EYJ, an A332, that is coming tonight. I also noticed A6-EYI on the ramp as I left AUH the other day, having just arrived on its delivery flight.

Exciting times!

It could be! With the tiny amount of free time I have these days, I may well have messed it all up  Wink Yep, EYI arrived and has been busy already...

When are the 332's with F coming?

So it's going to be time to get rid of the older A332 with PW/GE engines !?!

It was a non-scheduled flight.

Hopefully that's the plan - then a consistent product as far as cabin/aircraft should be on the horizon.

Not sure when Connexxion is to be retrofitted to their 332's - I think it was this year. THe 777's have it factory installed.
