TK flights in & out of LHR are mostly sked to be 738's although 310/332/343/738 all fly the route, and are frequntly subbed for one another, even the 320/321 was making an overnight apperance for 3 weeks or so in apr/may although this has now finished.
I have yet to see the Y class interior pics. So that would be nice. from say row 22 looking back ,at camera height eye level, standing up as wide as you can. Also some detail shots of the seats, PTV selections and controls. And if you can sneak into the cockpit during flight? and maybe some F class pics, and bathrooms.
Quoting TUGMASTER (Reply 1): Believe it or not, i am in a position to dictate who pushes your a/c back tomorrow.............any requests from you....?
You gotta love this site just for this post. If it was me I would ask for a bouncy bouncy if you could do that with hydraulics, with some hip-hop blasting from down below.

Or maybe you will get the 738 with the new interiors, and get to judge the new look yourself
Flew one yesterday. The seats are not all turquise, there are dark spots where your back and butt are. Still, it's a too bright color that will show the wear and tear in a short time. One thing that was odd the color of the curtain that divided C and Y classes; it was pink.. Awefull..

What insider sources tell me A330s are not great in US routes. TK packes these routes with pax all the time and cargo is a great revenue source. What I was told 330 doens't have enough umph to handle it. You may see A330 once in a while from time to time but that's pretty much it.
TK has a perfect route for 330s with Chinese route and DXB. DXB gives them overnight utilization which can be used later during the day for a high revenue flight like LHR/FRA.
I don't know how TK is doing on Indian routes but an upgrade from 310 might come in handy.

Quoting Psimpson (Reply 20): Twice during the month of April on a Friday and 2 days later on the Sunday, TC-JNB operated into ORD as THY5 which i believe are the only times the THY A330s have been to the USA.
On December 30th TC-JNA flew IST-JFK-IST. I had always thought that the A330s would be used to the U.S.
