AMSTERDAM (Dow Jones)--The SkyTeam Alliance says in a press release Wednesday that it has signed signed a Global Airline Alliance Adherence Agreement (GAAAA) with China Southern Airlines, the largest airline in the People's Republic of China, indicating that the Chinese carrier is on track for official alliance membership.
The agreement is a formal step in the alliance's new member process and outlines China Southern Airlines' commitment to meet the stringent set of standards to be officially recognized as a member of SkyTeam.
