And today's US-Mexico route application is...

http://dms.dot.gov/search/document.c...m?documentid=403165&docketid=25263

Click has applied to begin non-stop service between Torreon, Mexico and both Los Angeles/LAX and Las Vegas.

LAS and LAX will be Click's second and third US destinations. 3x daily Miami-Cancun service begins later this summer.

Interesting. I dont recall ever having nonstop LAX-TRC service.
This will be the first F-100 back at LAX since AA's anti Legend flights from DAL.

What happened to all the other routes that were flown by JR? Are they now being flown by Delta?

Aero Cal (JR) op'd TRC - LAX - TRC nonstop three times per week during the summer season from 1998 to 2001.

Interesting news about Click to Vegas. Another request I did not expect.

As far as Click to LAX, it shows Mexicana's desire to continue to dominate the California-Mexico market.

Thanks for the info. I guess I never noticed the seasonal flight.

At LAX they have pretty strong competition from AS, but I know what you are saying.

Indeed, also maybe more to come as PH-KXR is now flying as XA-KXR and still pending the arrival of PH-LXG.

Nice to see Click growing.
But a quick question, if Click continues to grow; in 10 years what fleet might the airline have?

Thanks,

Good question, as we can supose for a fleet of various F100´s, but maybe in the mid term they will change their fleet, as the rumors for the Airbus fleet are strong, as they first wanted the 319, but now they point to the A318.

This is in Jeopardy! Apparently the 4 ex. AA Fk.100 for QA are on hold as AA wanted to keep the N reg's due to insurance issues but MX wanted to registered them in Mexico. There was some kind of conflict....

What will be next for Click... as for 2009 the first Airbus will enter QA's fleet, either A319 the most probably or A318... they will grow fast, they will increase its fleet up to 25 frames (from 11 currently) in the next 3 years.

QA = Aerovias Caribe (Click) is a wholly owned subsidiary of MX = Compañia Mexicana de Aviacion. QA has a lower CASM compared to MX thanks to cheaper labor costs and more flexible labor contracts, therefore, MX uses QA to start new routes or take over routes that are not profitable for MX.

Probably only MTY-MEX and CUN-MEX. MX is pulling out of MID so MID-MEX doesn't count anymore.

Ghost or Rojo should have more accurate information though.
