Harare - An Air Zimbabwe plane experienced engine failure and made an emergency landing at the resort town of Victoria Falls, said reports on Thursday.
The reports said: "The MA60 plane ... had to make an emergency landing in Victoria Falls. There were no injuries", adding that the 60-seat Chinese-made propeller plane burst two tyres during the landing on Wednesday.
Zimbabwe had acquired three MA60 aircraft and military jets from China as President Robert Mugabe's government pursued stronger ties with Asia to offset its standoff with Western countries over policy differences.
Air Zimbabwe's spokesperson was not reachable for comment on Thursday and other Air Zimbabwe officials declined to comment.
The reports quoted a passenger on the plane as saying that some travellers had complained of minor injuries after the landing.
