Weird Plane At JFK This Morning

I was driving to Terminal 6 at JFK around 8-8:15 AM this morning...Looking out towards Terminal 7 I saw this very weird looking aircraft. I only caught a glimpse of it for literally a second or two but it appeared to be a kind of red and navy blue livery with a weird-shaped livery on the tail. I know this is not descriptive at all, but does anyone have any idea what I am talking about?

This was bugging me all the way down to FLL so any help is appreciated!

What kind of plane was it? 2, 3, or 4 engines? Any ideas of the aircraft type will make an ID much easier.

I honestly did not get to look long enough to determine...BUT it did seem fairly large...

No, I'm a JFK regular and it was something I did not recognize.

And so far folks, we have two suggestions... And neither include red livery!

By the way, by wierd looking, what do you mean? Strange shaped fuselage or what?

Does Cargo360 fly to JFK? They're rather unknown and have red all over their livery, including a weird shaped symbol on the tail. Aircraft is a 743. However the aircrafts belly is not marine blue but grey.

Nope, thanks for the suggestion though.

Nope, normal plane...By weird looking I meant a livery that I've never seen before at JFK.

This is a total guess...but possible.

Having checked the JFK Website, a flight CTT106 arrived at 8:05am from MDT. Research reveals CTT is Custom Air Transport, and that it was a Boeing 727-200. Probably looked a little something like this:

Otherwise, there was a Lan Peru flight 530 from Lima which landed about 8:15am, which was a B763.

Hey im new to airliners.net. Have always viewed but finally joined.
any chance it could have been U.S. airways livery flying HPN's PHX flight?
It matches the description of navy blue and red. If you just got a glance it could of looked a little weird and i havn't been to jfk in a couple of months but i know HPN was at terminal 7. Just a thought (great to post even though im probably wrong)

That is a good point--I thought of that too, but I don't think US mainline flies into JFK (though the retrojets definitely serve LGA, so could have been a diversion I suppose).

This is red (with some navy) and has been known to use T7 at JFK, though I suspect RJ might have recognized the kangaroo on the tail:
