Southwest Airlines (LUV:NYSE - commentary - Cramer's Take) has a code-share arrangement with ATA Airlines, which serves Cancun and Guadalajara from Midway Airport in Chicago. Southwest is readying its reservations system to accommodate international pricing and transactions by 2009.
"Once that is done, an agreement will be in place to code-share on our international flights," said ATA Senior Vice President Josef Loew in a recent interview.
Looks like TZ/WN will be code-sharing to Mexico. MDW not really convienient for much on WN's system, time will tell if they expand the code-share and we see TZ flying to Mexican destinations from HOU, PHX, LAS, LAX, SAN, maybe OAK, not sure if they have immigration/customs there.

I'm kind of wondering if we won't eventually do some of the flying ourselves. It would be exciting although I'm sure it would all be turns for FA's and no layovers. Things are *starting* to change a bit at WN, I just hope they dont change too much because things have been working the way they were for the past 35 years!
