What I tend to find with this flight is that once it is delayed, it is delayed for a very long time from my last 3 years of spotting at YVR. Why is this? Is it because of the schedule that the CX B744 fly? Or is it because of ac shortages? Well, finally I saw the CX flight push out of the gate 30 minutes behind time, but the other day, I had to wait til 1 o'clock in the afternoon to see the aircraft fly in from Hong Kong. What I also find is that (Just my opinion) since CX has a lot of quick turn-around times, their planes are not in the cleanest condition. I was on CX888 to JFK about two months ago, I just touched my window blinds and pulled it down, looked at my fingers, and it was black........
At the same time, the other CX flight, CX838/839 has also been delayed for quite a while. Are they pushing their schedule a bit? I know they are doing really well currently, but........
I assume you mean over a two-week period it's daily arrival/departure has been delayed, and not the flight was delayed for two weeks?? Not being sarcastic, just want to clarify.

I fly Cathy about once a month and have never felt their cabins were unclean... at the least less clean than anyone else's. In fact, I think their cabins are better cared for than many, many other carriers.
I assume there were other conditions than just the one window shade that were obviously dirty. Did you communicate with CX? You never know... they might give you a few FF miles for being inconvenienced! The continuation to JFK can be a short turn around, depending on arrival, so perhaps the cleaning crew didn't do a good enough job.
