Found this ship for sell at German car-selling site. Only 9.5 billion US$. Is that cheap? Any known faults/selling reasons? Should I by it?  Smile

As far as 727s go at that price I'd expect a fleet, some crews and a hangar full of parts too...

That's what I thought too. It's difficult to get spare parts. I didn't see hushkits (landing fees my oh my). And what about licenced maintenance?

Put it this way, $ 9.5 billion will get you about 45 Brand New 777-200ER's.

The link says 9.5 million Euros which at current exchange rates is approximately $12.14 million US. Not that great of deal when you consider that someone is selling 2 BAC 1-11 for $2.250 million on eBay. Some further searching around the net turned up a 1967 727-100 for $1.2 million I also found a 762ER for $10.99 Million.

Hush kits are not a problem as it has a raisbeck Hushkit...
Partss are not a problem as there are lots and lots in the desert...

9.5 billion.......Might be a little steep......See if there is some bargain room.

Sometimes all you can do is look them in the eye and ask " how much did your mom drink when she was pregnant with you?"

Yes, there was a slight typo/understanding on the user's behalf.

But for $9.5 Billion USD you could probably acquire every 727 sitting in the desert seeing as how you can buy them (really high time and in need of expensive D checks) for a little as $3 Million USD each.

The Flight Structure's hushkits are better and you don't have to deal with Jim R.

The biggest issue that drives the value is the maintenance condition of the aircraft. If it is due for a D check, then it is probably worth more to part it out.
