Should the future of commercial aviation turn out like Boeing thinks it will, we should start seeing widebodies at regional airports again, right?
L1011's and DC-10's were a daily thing at MCI back in the 70's but of course as smaller jets got longer legs, this slowly came to an end. Now it's mainly 737's, A32x's and DC-9's/MD-80's/717's. So if there truly is a move away from the hub and spoke system underway, shouldn't we see 787's at places like MCI? I wonder what the chances are we'll have direct flights out of MCI on 787's (CO MCI-HNL).
