Question About Evergreen 747s

I would like to know if 747-121s registered N483EV and N484EV were ever operated by Evergreen or just used for spares after bring handed back by Pan Am (ex N656PA and N657PA) in 1991.
Records indicate these aircraft never carried the green/white livery and were only stored as spares source in a bare metal scheme. Is that right?
