...and I hope this hasn't come up already, but can anyone tell me who the one UFO is for the 787 on Boeing's order page?
TIA,
MC

To the best of my knowledge it is not a VIP order as Boeing recently stated that they have not placed any 787s to a VIP customer. It was Mr Bair whom said that IIRC

 checkmark

Last year, for many months, 6 UFO 787s were listed on Boeing's order site. When revealed, they were for LCAL, a Leasing Co, whom stated at the Dubai Airshow that they would order another 9 but when the add-on order was listed, it was only for 8. So perhaps the single order is for LCAL to take them to their original, publicly stated, total of 15 frames.

That's right AM are leasing them via ILFC whom have already placed their order with Boeing. Of the 20 they ordered they have now have 15 remaining to be placed plus they hold 4 options of which 2 may be used to cover Air Seychelles who took 2 options with their agreement to lease 2 from ILFC. So it appears that AMs frames have already been ordered by ILFC.

So I am of the opinion that the single UFO 787 order is for LCAL.

I think you are getting confused with the lone passenger 748 ordered so far, which is indeed for a VIP.
