Spanair is one of the best airlines I can think of. The service is great, the food is good and the crew...you just can't find any nicer crew. Well, that's at least what I've experienced on my flights. They even let me jumpseat all the way from PMI to ARN.

Have a nice trip!

I have flown so many times with spanair as i live in Spain, i've flown in their MD87, MD83 and their B767.200. I have to say: service on board is awful, and very poor. Space between seats its more than small, they fill the aircrafts with 10 more people than usual for the kind of aircraft.
On 767 no ptv on coach. Not either a good entertaiment.
Never in time, so take care not to have a connecting flight after the spanair's one.

Last november they lost my baggage on my way to Madrid form Palma and i am still waiting for them to pay me.

On December they cancelled me to flights with no reason, so i reached my final destination 16h delay, and i even didn't received an apologise for the delay.

i guess you didn't know that.

hope it helps you.

WOW!!!

I've flown Spanair (JK / SPP) several times. Never delayed, never lost anything... Service is poor, but charters usually are. I'm very tall, (1m92, I think it makes 6'5'') and I did not feel that cramped. Even transported 30 kilos luggage excess (total 50!) for... 36 USD!!! In other companies I've paid an average of... 30 USD/kilo!!!
About PTVs: what do you expect? only newest 330s/340s/744s/777s have them IF and only IF the company wishes it...

Not specially brilliant, but not that bad...

Best turbulences

Flown to and from St. Lucia on one of their 767s, and as I'm just over 6ft tall I couldn't get comfortable, not enough legroom. Food and sevice OK though.
Also flown to/from Tenerife, on MD83. Far more comfortable though a shorter flight, again food and service OK. Pretty much as you would expect on Charter service.
Can't remember having any delays.
