I am booked MAN-ATL on the 17th July. seatmap is showing a 762. Can this be right? I thought these were all retired?

Bingo.
762 is the code for the ex-Gulf Air 763ERs as well as the single ex-Asiana 763ER.
Delta's own 763ERs are now designated as "767" in Delta's timetables.

yeah but what the heck about the -324ER from CO? presumably given it's XXxX exit config, it's the same as the ex-Gulf -3P6ERs

That's the Asiana plane I meant. It was originally destined for CO, as is obvious by the customer code, CO cancelled the order, so Asiana got that plane, and from them it went to DL via a lessor IIRC.

Yeah those are the ex-Gulf Air 763's. One of the worst ideas I have ever heard of. Delta needs to change this ASAP.

The proper term is "on final" not "on finals" bud...

Relax. No one outside of the people that frequent this website care whether it's a 762 or a 763.

Delta sold 13 762s to ABX, and "ship" 102 went to the museum. So can any Delta insiders tell us what happened to the 15th aircraft?

Sold to ABX as well. IIRC, that single 762 was actually sold to ABX before the transaction for the other 13 took place.
