I'll be flying on SQ29 in August LAX-TPE-SIN. I know the flight is on a 772, and I'm pretty sure it will be a 772ER, but I want to make sure for when I request my seat assignment -- does anyone know if they regularly use the ER on this route, or if they substitute other versions of the 777?

Quoting YULYMX (Reply 1): Sometimes they probably use a 744
It used to be a 744 all the time but SQ permanently downgagued to a 772ER a few years ago

Given that a 772A would struggle mightly to make LAX-TPE, it will most definately be a 772ER. Also, it is a 2-class plane with Spacebeds in C

Yeah, I just checked the range -- I didn't realize that the 772As had such a short range.
