Did a search on this but couldn't find detailed info on it, sorry if it was discussed before;
Being a very frequent DL flier I was glad when DL announced that they will integrate Song back to DL and add FC to the Song 757's, however my flying is mostly international and the few times I flew out of JFK domestic(TPA, LAS etc) I always get the 1 class song product, I was wondering if anyone flew the new product, and when will the conversion of ex song 757's to 2 class DL product be complete fully, and what routes should we expect to see them?

I don't think they're going to formally launch the new domestic long-haul until this September, so I wouldn't expect to see much about it until then. However, if you look at the thread about the September schedule change, it seems that lots of 757's are being taken out of the schedule for conversion.
I'd expect to see the new product on SEA/PDX/SFO/SJC/LAX/SAN/LAS to ATL/JFK/CVG as well as some of the Caribbean/Latin America routes. I think the threshold was supposed to be 1700 miles or more.

Thanks RwSEA;
I didn't know they were going to wait that long since the announcement was early this year if I'm not mistaken, I figured the conversion started already. I wonder how long it would take for a single aircraft conversion? I think most song ac is already painted with mainline colors so it will only be the cabin conversion.

yes 1700 miles is the threshold actually, so no FL flights with the 2 class 757's from NYC. I fly twice a year to LAS and LAX so maybe I'll get to fly them then.

While DL has announced that they're planning to refubish planes and introduce a new long-haul product with features of Song, they haven't announced many details such as whether the flights will keep the increased legroom, will have free or BOB food, and the actual launch date. I get the sense that they'll formally announce all these details early this fall.
Actually, though, I'd expect these planes to be seen in Florida quite a bit as they rotate through the system. For instance, the LAX-JFK/ATL redeyes can go up and down the east coast during the day, returning to ATL/JFK in the early evening for the trip back to LAX.

Some flights in the fall schedule (effective Sep 6) already feature these newly-reconfigured 757s: e.g., DL1511 ATL-MCO, DL582 ATL-SFO. The seat maps for these flights show 7 rows in First (26 seats) as opposed to the 6 rows on regular 2-cabin DL 757s.

In terms of DL's attitude and spirit, I flew DL last week LAX-JFK-IST (all 763s except for last leg, a Song 757) and back and the service was outstanding! Flight attendants worked very hard and were very cheerful! The best in-flight service I can ever recall!
