Quoting JBo (Reply 2): Wow. Cool. Thank goodness we have the reduced weekend schedules where we can actually spare an aircraft to go to an airshow
Yeah, some how we've still got the money to shuttle airplanes to OSH and MTW this year for airshows. MTW was the usual 328Jet and 1900D along with 2 pilot crews for each. I sure hope that comes out of the advertising budget.

Quoting SBNair3022 (Reply 9): i couldnt find anything on the website about skyway, can you give a link please?? THANKS!
No links because it is posted on YX net..the companies employee intranet. However if you need further proof, I'll just copy'n paste.
"Skyway to Make a Showing at the EAA
Skyway Airlines will display its popular Fairchild 328JET during the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh on July 29-30 at Aeroshell Square. Midwest Connect was a launch customer for the 328JET in 1999 and now operates 10 of the aircraft. If you're at the show, be sure to stop by and give it a look."

Well the airshows do pay for at least some of the cost to bring the aircraft into the show.
They've been to MKG before for Air Fair ... not sure about this year with the new management running the show. A few years ago they managed to have both a Beech and 328JET for the weekend ... and we had convinced the crews to partake in the traditional flyby down the runway after leaving. It was pretty cool to see the Beech buzz down a couple hundred feet above the deck at full throttle followed by the 328 not far behind.
I'd take the awe of understanding over the awe of ignorance any day.
