On the 12 noon news, they have reported that a UA B737 enroute from Chicago to Denver made an emergency landing in Des Moines after an engine failure. The captain was able to restart the engine, and the plane made a routine landing. No injuries.

What model was it? United has 200, 300 & 500 series 737s.

What type of 737??????? I am just thrilled that the news people actually called it a 737 instead of something else, as they are prone to do! Like I said, I just saw it on the news as I went to teach my next class.

I can tell you one thing, it was not a 200, because they don't those to Denver anymore.

The failure could have been an engine stall of some sort, thankfully the pilot got the engine started again. It was not GE's fault!!!
