Hello,

Today's 'Les Echos' issue reported that Singapore Airlines is seeking rights to operate a seventh weekly flight on the SIN-CDG.

The airline formerly had seven flights a week operated by A340-300E, but had to downgrade to six per week when they switched to the Boeing 747-400 (in June 1999 or so IIRC), in order to remain under the maximum offer in terms of seats per week.

In October the airline will already increase its capacities on CDG by 10% because three of the six weekly 747-400s will stop at CDG (instead of continuing on MAD or MAN) against two currently.

Competition With Air France
Air France switched from A340-300E to 777-200ER at the same times, and experience very high load factors on the route (Les Echos report that it would higher than that of SIA).
However there's a cooperation in the cargo business.

Could anyone tell me which of days the SIA 747-400 continues to MAD/MAN please?

Best regards,
Alain Mengus

According to the current SIA timetable, SQ 334 continues on to Manchester on Mondays and Wednesdays, and continues on to Madrid on Thursdays and Saturdays. Paris-Madrid VV flights are listed as "no traffic rights" on the timetable.
Hope that helps!

hi
to add info to what siafan said, when it continues to MAN it does take passengers from CDG to MAN,but the only one check-in counter they rent for that occasion is often empty of any passengers...
