I don't know if anybody has noticed this, but I've notice that there was a few serious accitdents of products relating to France! Concorde, the Gulf air, and the Paris train derail.
I'm trying to be racist or anything, my sympathy is with the families of these tragetys. But Is it just a bad year for France, or what?

as you said,the "products" you mentionned are only related to france...though an AF plane, the concorde has a franco-british passport.The same for the GF crash,though assembled in France it's a pure euro-product,and if the mistake comes from the pilot I don't see why we should be involved....
to answer your question ,are you forgetting Toulouse (in southern France) won the bid as far as the A3XX assembly line is concerned?
Yes we had one metro running mad...but are you forgetting that in Australia,they count 4 trains getting out of the rails each WEEK and their worst fear is that it happens during the olympics???

Even if the Concorde crash was experienced as terrible by all French, 2000 is still a good year. The moral is at the tope, the economy is in goof wealth, the unemployement has been decreased, ...
