i understand austrian will be introducing a new business product on their fleet of 777s over the next few months. does anyone know if the cramped 3-4-3 product at the back of the economy cabin will also be upgraded?

to original post title: Austrian is as horrible as LH in terms of economy pax. if at all possible take another carrier. no Eco upgrades announced/planned even at LH. spend yr money on a carrier of value.

I've flown in economy on an Austria A330 and I had the best experience ever. They had PTVs and the service was very good, good space too. Does the 777 have PTVs too, I'm pretty sure it does which would at least set it on a different level from LH which is BAD.

When Lauda ordered the 777, they originally planned to have two types of economy class service. However, very close to the first aircraft delivery date, Lauda management changed their mind about this concept although they kept the 3-3-3 and 3-4-3 arrangements. I don't know what Austrian does, but with Lauda it was luck of the draw who sat in the 3-3-3 section- ticket price was not a factor (at least on the long haul routes).
