Hi mates,

I am flying to Sydney on the next few days by British Airways on Singapore. What is it like??? Are there any good words and bad words about BA???

Thanks,

Alvin

Hi.

I flew BA from SIN-BNE-SIN in May 1997.
Sad to say, i wasn't impressed. The seating is cramped at 31", and the seats were rather old. The tray has a "pull-down" for a cup..that didn't work.

The meals were ok, nothing outrageous, usually a choice of a course with rice, an another western styled. The rice option always has this "well-being in the air" logo beside it, something created by BA for healtier eating in the skies.

The f/a s "appear" ok."Appear" because on my flight to BNE, one of the female f/a made a racist remark to another collegue about some indian while i was going to get a drink. Not a nice remark, especially from an Asian's point of view. Otherwise, the service given was above average.

There might be an Asian f/a onboard, like my BNE-SIN flight. She clearly demonstrates what makes the difference between good and average service.

The desend down BNE was horrible ! My friend who was sitting beside me complained of the rush of blood up his head. I can feel the same thing, as my head begins this "spin". My friend eventually fell ill that night, and could visit Movieworld.

It has been 2 years. Hopefully they will be better the next time I fly them.

Enjoy your flight and tell us your own experience.

Don't expect too much from BA, especially in the economy class. My friend just went back to Malaysia from London with BA and returned to London with MAS (she was student travelled in economy). What she said was, MAS was 100 times much better than BA in terms of service. BA service was really poor and FA were rude and racist. I'm sure BA only take care of their premium fare paying passagers. Anyway, wish you good luck.
