Mac Nerney: B. Considering Assembly Line In China

From the article,

"MacNerney said Boeing is still considering following Airbus's lead by creating an assembly line in China, but no "detailed project" exists as yet."

He also does not see Airbus packing up....

"Eventually, the crisis will make EADS and Airbus stronger. These two companies are formidable competitors for Boeing," MacNerney told French Sunday newspaper Journal du Dimanche in an interview."

And in contrary to that other popular believe on airliners.net...

"He said the number of Airbus A380 customers switching to Boeing's 747-8 will be "minimal."

"The market and the economic model of the two planes are very different..."
