I am having second thoughts about travelling to Iran to take a flight on a Saha Air B707, and was considering the possibility of travelling to Argentina if there is half a chance to fly on the LADE example.

Last I heard it was in for a D-check (which was good news) - does anyone know when it is / was scheduled back into service, and whether it is operating any specific services for them?

Any info appreciated.

Ian.

I flew done to EZE last year in hopes to fly this and did not get a chance to LADE's website is not very up to date and I had little luck with a response to emails to them. So when I arrived in EZE went to LADE HDQ in the city and was told its a hit or miss whe it flies. GOOD LUCK! I am dying to fly it!

Support Airliners.net - become a First Class Member!

LADE uses 707 equipment without any announce and when in one of two points are many people awaiting fly with this airline.

I remember to see it in USH many years ago.

Sounds just as hit and miss as last year when this a/c was being talked about.

However, now that airevents.de are organising a second Iran tour for later this year, I have decided to go with that option, as I feel better about an organised tour in Iran, rather than travelling there alone.

Still, any more information on the status of the LADE B707 is welcome...

What were the previous routings of LADE 707? The flight to Ushuaia----was it nonstop from EZE? BUE? or what were the intermediate stops? Thanks for the info.

The route to USH was/is operated via El Calafate (FTE) and sometimes via Rio Gallegos (RGL) originating from El Palomar AFB (Buenos Aires).
