Is this new? I was not aware that Hainan had commited to the A330 and RRs press release does not state which A330 model they intend to lease via ILFC. Does anyone have any further information?
Rolls-Royce announced today at the Farnborough International Airshow that the Hainan Airlines Group has selected the Trent 700 to power a new fleet of five Airbus A330s in a deal worth $250 millon, including a long-term TotalCare® services agreement.
Hainan, a new customer for Rolls-Royce, will lease the aircraft from International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC)

Quoting FCKC (Reply 2): Have you got some fresh news about a possible A330 Sichuan Al order ?
Hi FCKC the only news on that is that they are still considering it. We must not forget they will need Government approval for any purchase.

July 12 (Bloomberg) -- Sichuan Airlines Co., a domestic Chinese carrier, plans to start flights to Korea and India to tap the country's rising demand for international travel.
The company aims to add international routes by the end of the year, spokeswoman Xin Bing said by telephone from the western city of Chengdu today. Seoul or another Korean city may be the airline's first overseas destination, she added.
The carrier will add longer-range aircraft to support its network expansion, and it is considering Airbus SAS's A330s and A350s, said Xin, who didn't provide further details.

Quoting Scouseflyer (Reply 3): Have ILFC got any A330s "in stock" or should be expect and order from them at some point in the near future?
Not "in stock" per se, but ILFC orders/deliveries for A330s stand at:
A332 = 66/52
A333 = 26/23
So they have 14 A332s and 3 A333s still to be delivered. I have no way of knowing if any or all of their outstanding A330s have been allocated to customers. Someone else may have that specific answer.
Thanks - I hadn't really thought about it but of course they probably haven't got a big field full of 330s waiting for someone to kick the tyres and suck through their teeth before not making an offer

Has anyone seen any further information on this lease? RR are the only ones to have released anything about it yet they still have not mentioned a model. If anyone has seen a report that indicates whether they are A332s or A333s it wuld be appreciated.

CI had one ILFC A333 delivered earlier this year and one more pending.
