I live directly, and I mean directly under the flight path about 4 miles from DTW. If you take off NE or land from the NE you are going over my house. If ice, or anything else ever falls off it will go right through the roof. That would suck, but it would make a good post!
I once saw a news story in Denver in the late 80s about a guy who had a block of frozen "blue water and other stuff" hitting his car. He had it stored in his freezer. It looked like a little blue meteor. He figured it must have fallen out of a plane's lavatory. The only reason I even remembered it was because it was so stupid and I remembered thinking about what he would say to the auto insurance company. I thought of it again when I saw the movie "Joe Dirt" and he has that "rock" that he drags around that turns out to be frozen waste.
