Does anybody else have problems when claiming points on there Fidelidade card,here is an example;
I took a flight with AA from LHR to JFK on the 9th of july arriving the same day
the following day i took a JJ flight from JFK to GRU,the points from the JJ flight arrived in my account okay,but the AA flight,i only recived 1500 points in my account,which should have been 5000 points plus 2500 bonus (i have red status in there program,50% bonus).
Now i know that if the AA and JJ flights had been taken within a calendar day it would have been credited as Europe to Brazil and been awarded 6000 point plus 3000 bonus.
but these flights were on totally separate days,this has happened to me on many occasions,although sometimes the correct credit is given,the point is why travel on a specific carrier(AA) and spend more not to recive the correct points,JJ is a very good airline but there FF program is very poor,many times there call center staff do not seem to know what they are doing.
This really is starting to annoy me to the point where i might just start using BA or AF for my flights to Brazil,(i spend around us$10,000 a year travelling to SSA where i live,from Europe where i work).
So if anybody has any tips or info please let me know thanks.

Half a year ago I had some problems with the points. I believe it was a problem if AA did not enter the zeros before your Fidelidade number or something like that. Lately everything has been working just fine for me but check it out.

Donzilasse,yes you are right they (AA) must put 2 zeros in front of JJ fidelidade card number,i have just been in contact with there web call center and i was incorrectly pointed,should get my correct points within 48 hours,but still boring to have to chase them,but when i was in RG,BA,AF programs,more or less the same at some point or another,
okay people out there just out of interest who has the best FF program/service,for collecting missing miles/points !.
Glenn, last year i flew on the same day with separate tickets JFK-MIA (paid by my bank), and MIA-GIG. JJ refuse to give me the points for the JFK-MIA saying its a connecting flight. I sent to them a letter and proved that i bought two separate tickets and they credited my account with 1,500 points for the JFK-MIA flight and more 7,500 (also i have red status) for the GIG-MIA.
I recommend you do the same.
New York + Rio de Janeiro = One of the best combinations !

Glenn, I share the same opinion,this even happens in domestic flights. Last month in a single day I took JJ SDU-CGH early morning, I spent the whole day in Sao Paulo than late afternoon I took CGH-BSB, and was credited as a non-stop flight SDU-BSB.
I did this same trip other times with RG and I was always credited the miles for the two flights (SDU-CGH and CGH-BSB).
