Wizz-Air : Where Will They Open New Hubs?

After the massive order in Farnborough for 20 x A320's,the question I have is where will Wizz-Air open new Hub's ?
I know about Bratislava coming on-line soon -but are there any chances Wizz-Air could base some aircraft outside of their turf-countries in the East?
Cities like HAJ,LYS,NUE,MRS or MAN could well be of interest for Wizz- but is this realistic ?
Also BEG or ATH would fit in their network as base. Any thoughts or comments ?
Their main target is clearly Sky Europe ,who have had not so brillant results and eaten up all their capital.Sky Europe's shares went nose-dive from 6 to 2 € within four months.Wizz Air seems to have more robust financing.

I guess they are looking more into the Central and Eastern European part, Bucharest, Zagreb, Ljubljana, Sofia etc. , connecting the cities with each other and with important cities in Western Europe, probably also opening new destinations such as HAJ, NUE ,BSL, LYS, MRS etc.

I am a bit worried by their BTS hub. Neither SkyEurope nor WizzAir are flying profitable at the moment (SkyEurope expects a small profit for next year though). Maybe too much competition...
I hope both airlines will make it in the end!

BTS is a very small market, as Easy have found out by pulling off the route along with OS. I can't really see Wizz doing anything special in Slovakia. From experience Sky Europe were by far the better of the two whenever I have flown on these carriers.

They have more flights out of LTN than any other airports they use without basing any aircraft there.

At present all their flights to Croatia, Bulgaria and Slovenia are flown operating "W" flights, this bust me a logistical nightmare, and would free aircrafts up to operate flights from there present hubs.

Im not sure how their flights from PIK, LPL and DSA are performing, but if they are peforming well I would expect other flights to be added to these airports.

What about the possibilities of opening a bases at any of the following? - LJU, ZAG or ATH. All these destinations have a lack of LCC and are dominated by legacy carriers... I think ZAG and LJU could be good possibilities as they could attract passengers from neighbouring countries and could potentially have quite a large market.

The DSA flight hasn't started yet (well, I don't think so anyway, correct me if I'm wrong). I'd love to see a UK hub. Like Gilesdavies says, I think LTN is the most logical choice if they were to open a hub here.

The problem probably is that will bring along English salaries. Now they can pay as much staff as possible on a dirt cheap Polish/Hungarian salary level.

Probably too early to say for PIK and DSA. In the future I could see PIK-BUD and Gdansk (if FR dont launch it) but probably not PIK-Katowice as FR fly PIK-Krakow. As for DSA, im not sure there is the market for an operation of the size of LPL so probably a small gradual expansion

Since Wizz have started flights to LPL, Wizz have dropped BUD and added Gdansk. I guess Wizz are doing quite well there. Im interested in how LPL-Katowice is doing with FR and EZY operating LPL-Krakow

The one thing Wizz have to be careful off in all their expansion is Ryanair. The majority of the airports they serve are FR bases or destinations. Their bases at Gdansk and Katowice are particularly vunerable to FR competition

Paris comes to mind as a major market in which there is no dominate low-cost carrier.

While it would be an expensive and risky market to enter the potential for success is massive.

Good service on Wizzair and no complaints on these routes and they were pretty full just last week when I flew GDN-PIK and PIK-WAW.

On the other hand...the only thing interesting in PIK is that MK Air Cargo 747F, and the usual Cargolux, Polar and Atlas 742/4Fs

LTN- SJJ would be interesting, especiallialy as Bosnia has signed open-skies with EU, likewise a LTN-SKP would be a monopoly route now that BA have pulled out. ZAG would be a good potential base as OU have dominant position on a number of routes, but 4U have proved ZAG routes work and the local population have far more disposable income nowadays.

Well if you take into consideration the fact that BTS is in the middle of the Brno-Bratislava-Vienna-(+Gyor?) quadrangle with population of 3.2 million in just these four cities I think they can very well perform the "Hahn and/or Stansted-like" LCC-airport alternative to VIE.

Vienna has very little LCC traffic, but does have good worldwide links, thats why I suggested BTS is a smaller (in comparison) market. Slovakia doesn't really have a national carrier.
