I will most likely be moving to Hefei China in the coming weeks for work, and wanted to know what the airport is like there. I know there is pretty decent service throughout China on the carriers there, but I was actually wondering in terms of the airport itself. What's it like? New? Older?

I know a lot of "new" airports are popping up all over the country. Beautiful structures in places like PVG and CKG as well as PEK. Is HFE in on this???

Any help or general advice about the city would be appreciate. Thanks!

Haven't been there, so no first hand knowledge.

Have you checked out the Google Satellite pic of the airport. There is a link to it here - http://gc.kls2.com/airport/HFE

Looks like a fairly new albeit small terminal bldg, only 2 aero-bridges. Impressive wide approach road to terminal. Not much car parking.

Here is the airport website - www.hfairport.com but it's all in Chinese.

You can also check out the city which is 10 km north of the field.

This may help you get the lay of the land so to speak.
