I'm going to be down in the Seattle area on labour day weekend and I'd like to do some plane spotting at Seatac. Does anyone have some tips on some good plane spotting locations?

If there's south flow, check out the park north of the airport on S 146th Street. There's a big water tank and it's right next to the airport employees lot, you can't miss it.
If there's north flow, you can hunt around for some spots around the Tyee golf course, but I generally run into John Law when I do that...If you can find parking in the neighborhood of 188th street (the street with the tunnel under rwy 34R), you can usually hang out on the street and catch some arrivals/takeoffs.
I've found that the best times of day to go are between 10AM and 1PM (heavies from UA, KE, OZ, and Eva Air depending on the day) and 4PM-7PM (heavies from BA and SK). There's generally some good cargo stuff that shows up randomly as well. Good luck!

Does SEA get many late night arrivals? I'm staying at the Best Western in Tukwila. Does anyone who is familliar with the area know of that is on the flightpath?

If it's the one called Best Western River's Edge, then probably not any spotting. The runways go north-south and this hotel is east and about 5 miles away (mileage just a guess)

Here's a picture of where your hotel is (the 'A' marked in Red) in comparison to SEA:
As you can see, you are about 3 miles east of the airport, and, as SEA's runways go from North to South, it seems unlikely that anything will be flying over your hotel!!

Don't forget about NW and the occational DL heavy.
During the summer, it is almost always a north flow, so if you like golf, play a round at Tyee. Great spotting for landings and sometimes takeoffs!

Here is a GREAT SEA spot:
Head west on 188th, past the 34R tunnel and past 34L and past the construction area for the 3rd runway. There's a row of trees/scrub and right after that a road going south. Park on that road and walk up to the sidwalk of 188th and just hang around there - it's an awesome spot! I got some pics on the "other" airplane photos site, here's a pic from this spot (not mine) on A.net, I recognize the tree
