Except for Bhutan, can anyone think of country that has just ONE commercial carrier?

Lot's of countries have 1 international carrier, but what about just 1 commercial airline?

Do you mean one carrier that serves the country or one carrier based there?

If the former, I second PRGLY's point about Lesotho. SAA does a JNB-MSU flight that goes several times a day.. when I did it I think it was a J41.

If the latter, Uruguay comes to mind with PLUNA, unless there is a carrier based there that I'm not aware of.

Okay, maybe I didn't make it too clear:

Im thinking of countires that have ONLY one commercial carrier registered in the country.

Air Bhutan....

Luxair isn't the only commercial carrier of Luxembourg....WestAir Europe are registered in Luxembourg too.

Quoting PRGLY (Reply 2):

a good example...

How about Ghana in Africa with Ghana International Airlines?

What's the deal with them? Last I heard they were no more but I have heard rumors that they are back in business. Great airline, used to love flying them.

I remember hearing about a domestic carrier called Air Panama... Then there's Aeroperlas, but I don't know if it counts, being part of Grupo Taca.

Now thinking about it... How about El Salvador with TA? I can't think of another Salvadorean airline.

What do I know, I'm just an 'immature troublemaker with only a passing interest in aviation' (or so they say)
