It's a great video. It really impresses me how the pilots can fly such a large commercial airliner in that way.

Without going off thread, and staying with the cool airshow routines, what about these two pictures? How could the pilot fly the aircraft like that?

well, it seems the pics were taken in a vertical format, but rotated 90 degrees to a horizontal format.

Nice video, the A346 sure does look good in the Airbus colors.

Saw a similar routine at Farnborough last Sunday - they sure know how to put the A340-600 through the paces (a lot more so than the A380 demo). Still the highlight was the spool-up of the Trent 900s spooling up for takeoff from about 150m away...amazing experience  Smile

The pilot was probably making a sharp turn directly above the cameraperson, and the angle at which the picture was taken makes it look as if it were going nearly straight up.

My thoughts exactly. Thrust to weight is everything!

Did you see the loose service cart from first class drop out the back on the climb out?!

...are we there yet?

Does the Airbus' accelerate down the runway slower than Boeings? It seemed that way to me when I watched this video. That particular Airbus is growing on me a lot. I would like to travel on one, I will get that chance next March.
