I already did a search on this here, but all I found was just general information and links to pages which don't exist anymore.

I'm looking for an extensive list of names which British Airways gave their aircraft before switching to the World Tail colours. I'm looking for the names of 737s, 747s, 757s, 767s, 777s, L-1011s and DC-10s (and maybe even Airbus aircraft, if they had names). It's a shame BA didn't keep those old names on their aircraft.

Maybe the Search facility did not work but you will find some information in this thread RE: BA Aircraft Names (by BCAL May 24 2006 in Civil Aviation)

I saw that thread, but the information is much too general. I need specifics (e.g. which registration had which name, a sample would be fine, doesn't need to be the whole fleet).

I can't because I got it sent in a Word file. I can however put the name of an aircraft on demand whenever somebody needs it.

I like the idea of giving aircraft names, although some people might see it as silly. Individual boats/ships have names so why not. I like the Swiss idea of naming aircraft after their highest mountains, obviously not something BA could do, nor KLM! However naming after something of national importance will appeal to many pax. My parents recalled when we boarded a hovercraft that the had travelled on 'Princess Anne' many years earlier, it made them feel good about boarding again
