Thanks RwSEA. I think it is great to see DL expanding in Mexico. I hope AM will do the same thing. Will the DL Mexico flights have all those new amenities that DL has announced (PTV's, complimentary cocktails, etc.)?

Salt Lake City also has a large Hispanic community, and SLC has effectively become DL's gate way to Mexico, not only to the big resort destinations, but increasingly to the main population centers; MEX and now GDL.

Quoting MAH4546 (Thread starter): Delta has applied with US DOT to fly Salt Lake City-Guadlajara:
No way this can't work, since Utah is one of the few states that encourages the illegals to move there, with special drivers licenses. If we can get them to fly to SLC, then maybe we will have less dying in the desert.

Delta has also requested SkyWest to have an exemption to fly SLC-MZT, replacing Shuttle America. In addition, they have requested SkyWest to fly SLC-SJD, replacing ASA. Both operated with CR7's.
