Quote: Italy, UAE eye aircraft production in Abu Dhabi
Posted: Friday, July 28, 2006
Italy and the UAE are discussing the possibility of jointly producing ATR aircraft in Abu Dhabi, a report said.
Negotiations are on with Gamco in this regard, Paolo Dionisi, the new Italian ambassador to the UAE was quoted as saying by a Gulf News report.
"We believe the industrial capability in the UAE is mature enough as there are aircraft assembly operations and there are even some parts that are made here for Airbus," he said.
Italy is also looking into the possibility of joining hands with Gamco to make an unmanned aerial vehicle for defence, the report said.

You speak about wings ?
Is this mean the wings will be produced at AUH ?
In any case you are not speaking about production line , since there is only one , which is at TLS.
Even if the market seems to be growing in the turboprops sector , and even if ATR , now has a strong backlog , i doubt a second production line will have a sense.
