I flew into LGA on Friday morning and saw for the first time the Astrojet paint scheme for American. Really cool looking on the 737. I looked at the pictures on A-Net as was wondering is that the only plane they have and does any other airlines have that retro look on only one plane? (I know that US Airways has some retro but how many.) What others airlines?

Oh, why didn't the airlines leave well enough alone with their retro liveries? I mean, Bayer aspirin's logo has remained more or less the same for how long? And people still buy it, right? Can anybody name ONE non-retro livery that's better than the old one? I mean, the BOAC livery ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nostalgie du temps perdu?  old

I think UA's last two liveries are far better than the 60's & 70's vintage ones.
But for the most part, I agree with you, the older looks were better than the updated ones.

I like the American AstroJet 737 too. I saw it two weeks ago sitting on a hardstand across from the International Terminal D in Dallas/Fort Worth.
