I was on AF's web site and could not find inflight entertainment. Do the A340-300E's have ptv's in economy and if so what are the programs like? Thanks.

My AF flight attendant friend tells me most of AF's 340's do have PTV's in economy. There are about 6 movies to choose from, plus games, etc.

An unexamined life isn't worth living.

They also publish an extensive inflight enterainment mag "Distractions a Bord" separate from and in addition to their inflight magazine. It's very nice to look at....

If you fly on a new A340, F-GLZM onwards, these aircrafts are fitted with the new state-of-the-art Rockwell system, that includes a 15-channel package offering different programs on the way to your destination and to your way back.
You can also enjoy 16 channels of music programs lasting 2 hours instead of one.

Air France decided last year to equip its oldest A340 with this new system.
By 2001, 50% of Air France's long-haul flights will offer Promenade.
