The latest A380 enewsletter from Singapore Airlines confirmed what has been rumored on a.net for some time: The first SQ A380 flight will be between Singapore and Sydney. Moreover, SQ still claims that the target date for the first flight is December 2006!
There's also a competition to win two free tickets on that first flight, but please don't register, as you will reduce my chances to win!

Just to add some more info:
The SQ A380 web site also says that the second A380 for SQ, which is MSN 005, flew to Hamburg on 19 July, and "over the next five months, the aircraft will be painted in Singapore Airlines livery in Hamburg's custom built A380 facility and have its cabin fitted out."
This indicates that MSN 005 is scheduled for delivery to SQ in December 2006.

Quoting Ryan h (Reply 2): Will the current delays with the A380 affect this?
SQ published this newsletter on 1 August (which is today or yesterday, depending on where in the world you are right now), so they should have taken the current delays into account before announcing this.
Quoting Ryan h (Reply 2): Redchili, the link in your post no longer works.

Quoting RedChili (Reply 3): I think it is because the server is overloaded.
