It's the commemorative 'we ran out of blue paint' scheme.

But he's correct, it hasn't been painted since it returned from Virgin blue, so guess that it soon will go into the paintshop.... Its really ugly compared to the others in the fleet!

With VEX planned for being fully absorbed by SN by March next year and SN having stopped painting its planes in its current corporate style (3 AVRO's have come back from the paint shop after their C check entirely WHITE), I doubt this plane will still get the full VEX livery applied, but rather the new livery of SN when time comes.

Quoting Azza40 (Reply 10): Wont that have anything to do with that special scheme thing they are doing?
Correct, but they are not painting them white so they can have a contest for children to design their own livery, they are doing the contest because these planes needed to be repainted anyway and it doesn't make much sense to paint them in the current livery now, if that is going to disappear in a few months.... better paint them all white, which is said to be the basis for the future livery (yep, another euro white thing), apply stickers to it for the contest livery, and then when the final colours are unveiled, spray them over the basic white as second layer.
