B6 Plane In LAX Yesterday!

Hey,

Yesterday when taxiing ove to 24L with F9 I saw a JetBlue babybus land on 24L at LAX. When we took off of 24L it was parked at the remote gates on the far west side of the airport next to an AC bird. What was it here for?

B6 manages to end up at LAX every few months, more often during the winter months.

When issues arise at LGB or BUR such as fog, LAX tends to be the preferred alternate with pax often being bussed to their final destination. A few months back we had two B6 A320s spend the night due to problems at LGB.

I would imagine that LAX would be prefered given that it has Cat. IIIb. Still, why wouldn't they divert online to ONT, given that it has plenty of runway?

We might see more B6 at LAX since in the Q2 Confrence Call Neeleman said they are going to have a lot more charters this fall. I guess it is a good thing since they have reduced schedules for the fall why not let the planes make money. I wouldn't mind chartering a B6 plane but the cost probably is high anyway.

Was the plane ferried from OAK to MRY or somewhere else?

Probably OAK, but it could have been SJC.

This summer we did a number of charters from FLL to AVL for summer camp kids...I tagged along on one of the trips and the kids were great. Our A320 was defenitley the biggest one at AVL =)
