United Business has very comfortable, soft seats that are both ergonomic and quite roomy. They have a built-in massage system in that the seat can expand and
contract with air, at the press of a button.
Food service is OK, but nothing extraordinary and in
no way compares to BusinessElite or BusinessFirst.
The airline offers an Arrivals by United product where
you can shower, have breakfast, and have a suit pressed on arrival at Heathrow but no limo service to
the home counties like Virgin.
United is still very much a 3 class airline and the
quality of their Business Class, while good (I would
rate it an 8/10) is not quite as luxurious as that on
airlines that have eschewed First/Business/Economy
such as Virgin, Continental, or even BA, which still
has 3 classes but has invested heavily in its Club
World product.
United flies to Heathrow 3 times daily from JFK, all
on 767-300's, from Boston once daily, also on the
767-300, from Washington DC/Dulles 3 times daily
on 777 and 747-400 aircraft, from LAX twice daily
on the 777, from SFO twice daily, with 777 and a
747-400, and from Chicago 3 times daily with the
777.
