Has anyone downloaded this yet?

I just did and it reminds me of Delta Timetable.. I like the old version where it listed all the flights between a particular airport and all airports it serves.

This new version sucketh..

Blah! Bah humbug!

I agree...basically, the only two timetables of the majors that I like these days are the Star Alliance one (used to be used by American, United, oneWorld, and still may be used by Midwest) and the Continental one (with its own interface)

I agree.. oneworld is the best now that AA has changed..

It's all informative.. and you don't have to search as much.. and you can see new routes instantly..

the price of progress, I guess.

Horrendous. Write to AA customer service if you don't like it, it doesn't hurt.

Oh no! I think it looks and feels nicer, but I am definitely going to miss the 'All Airports' option for the old City Timetables. Too bad.

Ugh! And now everything is in 24 hour clock. How un-AAmerican!

If I had my druthers, American would still be printing paper timetables and we wouldn't be messing around with these online schedules at all. In today's world paper timetables are a huge waste of money, I know, but they sure are more fun to look at than a silly online program or some giant, unwieldy PDF document.

I sent an email to AA expressing my displeasure at the switch, and gave reasons why to keep a feature like the City/Airport Timetable. Hopefully, they'll send me an email back, which I'll pass on to the a.net community.

Cheers,
Cameron

The nice thing is that AA usually is very prompt in responding to e-mails. Everyone else who dislikes the new program, do the same. Chances are that they are doing this on a trial basis with the new supplier to test reaction before switching to it permanently.

You were right, Mark, I got an email back today.

Here's what it said:

Dear Mr. Cameron,

Thank you for taking time to write to us at American Airlines and for
expressing your opinion.

We pay close attention to comments, like yours, so that we may better
gauge trends in the industry and meet the needs of our passengers.
Accordingly, I have sent your comments on to the appropriate management
team for their review.

We appreciate your visit to American Airlines website, AA.com.

Sincerely,
Ms. L. Curry

Does this look like something written by someone, or an auto-generated mesage? It was sent at 7:29 am CDT. I can't really tell, it looks like it could be either, in my opinion.

Cheers,
Cameron

Only works with Windows. Looks like AA has yet to do a demographic study of Mac owners.

Looks like I'll stay with the PDA version.

That is pre-generated, but it is the pre-generated message that they send when they actually have read your letter. So while the message was pre-made, they did read the letter and will foward it properly.

And as Lognhorn did, I suggest everyone else who hates to do the same.

Same here. I have to send my complaint to get it compatible with my Mac before I can send a second complaint about how it sucks.

Perhaps this is why SJC-NRT is making no money and being pulled. Steve Jobs and his entire staff at Apple were mad since they couldn't download the timetable onto their iMacs and decided to boycott the flight in protest!!
